turtles, shabby chic chair and plates!

It has been a long time since I created and/or posted anything! You will be seeing alot more photos on here of an actual dollhouse and furnishings etc because I got a dollhouse! I have been working on it for a few months and will post progress and furniture etc. I have also learned how to put images onto things. I cannot tell you how excited I am for this! I can now put images on anything including little plates, furniture etc.Below are the trial plates I have made. Naturally I first did Vintage strawberry shortcake plates being a huge fan of her. We have a new batch of tinytina Turtles that have hatched, aren't they cute? Here is my first dollhouse chair, it was a vintage peice that I recovered and painted the base. I think it will be perfect in my shabby chic little dollhouse!

I was asked to make a taller nativity, I tried but it's hard for me to make anything big! I thought this one would end up being about 6 inches, its just over 3! I am better at tiny things! hey at least I tried.

I decided to make some little owls I'm sure I will make more at some point I like how they turned out. The beasds are especially fun, the flat ones are magnents and beads.

2010 Christmas tree ornament

Every Year we try to pick out a christmas ornament that represents that year. This year I knoew what I wanted and wouldn't find it anywhere else so I decided to sculpt it. Where else would I find a pregnant mom, dad with greying hair, and blonde and brunette little boys? no where so here is the sculpt. I am not this pregnant yet but I had to make it noticeable to get my point acrossed :)

So I made more nativities in the white. I LOVE THEM! I did the dark hair in stead of white hair and I'm VERY happy with how they turned out for the first time :) Also this little baby I finished, it just makes me giggle. He looks like something that would be in a cartoon or something haha

Christmas stuff

I sculpted some new stuff tonight I really like how the Nativity turned out however I'm thinking I shouldn't have done the hair on them white. My idea was to have it all be white but, I guess it was a better Idea in my head haha. I also wanted to do some of baby jesus or just baby and lamb snuggling those didn't quite turn out as I hoped either.

Sometimes I still burn stuff, but I have never done it this bad before EVER! I think it was too tall and I used my tiny oven and should have used the big one. It's my first "joseph" for the nativities. I tried to do a practice run of mary and joseph, well joseph burned and mary got squished by my 2 year old. not a great trial run. where this sculpture is not burned is the bottom and you can sorta make out wher ehis head and beard were haha

Well I FINALLY finished the little nativities. I'll be honest and say it was a little bit grueling and I will not ever do them again. But if you ever want a replacement jesus for your nativity I will do that!

Well after a year, I FINALLY cracked donw and got the turkey dinners finished. I put off the turkeys until very last. I think they turned out decent. May not ever do them again haha. I also made a few cakes I thought I'd share.

These are probably 2 of the bigger babies I've ever sculpted. It was for a cake topper, It was also last minute but still turned out pretty cute. The cake they went on was for a twin baby shower.

One things I love about polymer Clay is that I can mix the colors to match almost EXACTLY the colors in an outfit. I have tons of bracelets that match certain dresses and shirts etc. This Dress {fabric underneath the neclace} has really unique colors and I made beads to match the dots and I'm so exited. I love this dress and can't wait to wear them together!

Winnie the pooh paper wreath

This one took 2 62 page winnie the pood books. It is a few inches bigger then the other. a good 2 feet tall. These are so fun to me, I don't love making them so much as having them done. They are pretty easy though I have to admit. It takes some time but not hard to do.

I'm TRYING to learn how to sculpt faces, I have a long way to go and want to get to where I can look at a photo of someone and sculpt that persons face. I an really struggling with lips but these little faces will make awesome little sculptured men. Just looking at them makes you smile they are so goofy and silly. I will keep posting and hopefully we will se some progress. This stuff is hard!

There was a bakery near my grandma's house that sold macaroon cookies with a cherry on top. They were HEAVEN! Macaroons are by far one of my favorite cookies. So I made them in miniature they turned out near perfect I'd say :)

Christmas Ornament

I made this ornament for my sister and brother in law.It's probably the perfect christmas ornament for them this year, They are expecting their frist baby in about 4 months. If the sculptured look a little dis-proportioned it is because I only sculpted them to there knees:) This stands 2 inches high. The girl is pregnant and the husband and wife both have a hand on the tummy with a heart.

This is my first women fairy. She was a special order and is actually pregnant, people make fun of me for making her breasts so large. It's pretty funny, I didn't plan it that way it just happened. But hey, she IS pregnant! I like how she turned out, especially for a first time fairy. I had a huge struggle with that hair! See If I ever do that again haha.

The first little guy looks like a snail, but is more martian like with one little entennea on his head, or is that hair?? Who knows?.
Looks like my little crabs all found a place on individual rocks from the back yard, they are all looking for new homes to go to. Could yours be one of them?
Now who doesn’t need teeny tiny ghosts for there room of doll house? It is Halloween you know, and these little guys GLOW IN THE DARK!
The next little monster/martian/alien is pretty cute and is most obviously a girl.
My favorite is the next photo, GLOW WORMS! I had a glow worm as a kid and LOVED it. I thought I would make my own little version of them and yes people, they actually glow in the dark!

It came in the mail yesterday and I have already made these creations. My booth sign is almost done!
If you can't read the text on the below pic it is just saying that the photo on the left is the real sign colors and the one on the right has been color changed so that you can see the pattern on the background. It is super subtle and is only one shade lighter then the sign so its barely noticeable.
